David A. Litton, Ph.D.

David Litton, Ph.D., is a distinguished alumnus of Rutgers University School of Engineering, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 1993, Master of Science in 1995, and Doctorate in 1998, all in Materials Science and Engineering. Throughout his career, Dr. Litton has significantly contributed to the field of materials engineering, particularly in the development and implementation of advanced coatings technologies for gas turbines, enhancing their performance and efficiency. His innovative work has led to the granting of over five U.S. patents.

In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Litton was honored with the Distinguished Engineer Award by the Rutgers Engineering Alumni in 2023.

He actively engages with the Rutgers community, serving on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and participating in the Rutgers Engineering Alumni Engagement Committee.
