Allan G. Mitchell (ENG 1927) was a member of the Board of Governors of the University, appointed by the Board of Trustees. He cast the 5th and deciding vote 3-2 in favor of a new sports complex which would eventually be the Sonny Werblin center on Busch campus. He served as an official for the Philadelphia Electric Company.
