The REA hosts several events throughout the year, including career nights for students, technical presentations for continuing education credits, and social events. Many of our events are hybrid format to allow SoE alumni both “on the banks” and “off the banks” to participate.

Scarlet Day of Service 2026

Scarlet Day of Service is a campus-wide day-long service event at Rutgers-New Brunswick hosted in both the fall and spring semesters by the Rutgers University Programming Association (RUPA). This event provides students an opportunity to serve New Jersey by cleaning up communities, revitalizing outdoor spaces, working with youth and older adults, and more! Sign-up Form: FORM

Senior Design Showcase - Judges Needed!

April 22
We appreciate your interest in participating in the inaugural SoE Multidisciplinary Senior Design Expo - an in-person event designed to: Showcase student capstone senior design projects - a culmination of all four years of engineering education and study into a final product or system. Deepen alumni engagement with Rutgers SoE. Engage industry leaders and local community schools. Build a standing tradition for Rutgers SoE and its community. Sign-up Form: https://rutgers.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2o8bgOfeNPKIYya?Q_CHL=qr The expo will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, on the Busch campus in Piscataway, NJ. Participation in all events during the day is not required. REA Senior Design Expo Planning Committee: This committee will partner with SoE leadership and staff to host the Dean's Breakfast (9:00 - 10:30 AM) and Student/Alumni Fun Night (5:30 - 8:30 PM), and help publicize the senior design expo to other Rutgers alumni. Please indicate your interest in participating on the REA Senior Design Expo Planning Committee. Dean's Breakfast: Kick-off, invitation-only event, scheduled from 9:00 - 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. SoE will coordinate/pay for location and food. Please indicate your interest in participating in this breakfast. Judging, Senior Design Posters/Project Demos Share your expertise as a judge! This portion of the day will occur between 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM. You may sign up for the entire experience, or select the time(s) that work best for your schedule. Alumni Networking Chat with students - discuss your Rutgers experience, professional journey, industry pointers, etc. Field questions from the next generation of engineering leaders. This informal networking session is scheduled from 3 to 4 PM.
