The REA hosts several events throughout the year, including career nights for students, technical presentations for continuing education credits, and social events. Many of our events are hybrid format to allow SoE alumni both “on the banks” and “off the banks” to participate.

2026 REA Career Night

 The Rutgers Engineering Alumni Association (REA) remains dedicated to supporting the School of Engineering, ensuring our students, faculty, and staff continue to deliver world-class education and research. As part of this mission, we invite you back to "The Banks" to mentor the next generation of Rutgers Engineers. As a part of our service, we'd like to invite you back to The Banks to mentor students for our first event,  REA Career Night  Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2026 Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM Location: Richard Weeks Hall, Busch Campus Note: Food and refreshments will be provided. We are looking for alumni volunteers to share their career journeys and offer guidance to students currently navigating their academic and post-graduate plans. Rutgers Engineers are among the best in the world, and your insight is invaluable to their success.     Interested in participating? #InternsPresent - National Engineers Week 2026

National Engineers Week is full of events where alumni can participate - for this event, coaches and judges for #InternsPresent. Sign up below! Judge Form Coach Form     As part of National Engineers Week, the School of Engineering is proud to host Interns Present, our annual signature event that celebrates experiential learning, professional growth, and the power of mentorship. We invite you to give back to the next generation of engineers by serving as an alumni volunteer—either as a presentation coach, a Round One judge, or both. Interns Present features 12–16 undergraduate students from across engineering disciplines who will present their internship experiences to an audience of peers, faculty, staff, and industry professionals. The event highlights students’ technical work, communication skills, and professional maturity—while giving them invaluable exposure to alumni and industry leaders like you. Volunteer Opportunities Round One Judge As a judge, you will: Evaluate up to four student presentations in one presentation room Use a provided rubric assessing delivery, content, personal insight, communication, and visual aids Help select one finalist from your room to advance to Round Two Be encouraged to stay for dinner and networking with students, fellow judges, and observers following Round One Presentation Coach As a coach, you will: Meet (virtually) with a student presenter at least twice prior to the event Provide guidance on storytelling, clarity, confidence, and professional presentation skills Play a meaningful mentoring role in helping students refine how they communicate their internship experience You are welcome to serve in both roles. To ensure fairness, coaches will not judge students they have coached. Please confirm this week if you are able to serve as a judge and/or coach; if so, fill out their respective forms below, and the student lead, Sean Harley (sjh222@scarletmail.rutgers.edu), will take over further coordination.
